The Import & Planning Manager is responsible for end-to-end import planning and execution for 1P and 3P businesses. This role ensures product availability through effective supply planning, import control, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance, while supporting business growth, product launches, and other business initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage import and supply plans aligned with business needs and market dynamics.
  • Control end-to-end import processes, including PO readiness, production lead time, shipment scheduling, and ETA/ETD monitoring.
  • Optimize inventory parameters (safety stock, MOQ, reorder points) to balance availability, cost, and working capital.
  • Act as the main liaison between commercial, supply chain, finance, and principal teams.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth import execution.
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Support new product launches and principal onboarding by validating supply readiness and import feasibility.
  • Identify import risks and bottlenecks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Develop and maintain import and supply performance reports (plan vs actual, stock availability, service level).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in import, supply planning, or logistics management.
  • Strong understanding of import processes, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting using similar systems.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and external stakeholders.
