Job Summary:
The role will focus on optimizing operational of supply chain processes to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products to various distribution channels, maintaining high standards of service while minimizing costs and enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Coordination & Planning: Assist in executing the supply chain strategy by coordinating demand forecasting and supporting adjustments based on market fluctuations under the guidance of management.
Procurement & Supplier Management: Support the procurement process, including supplier communications, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring timely delivery in collaboration with the manager.
Inventory Management: Oversee day-to-day stock level tracking, coordinate replenishments, and ensure smooth warehousing operations to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
Logistics & Distribution: Facilitate cost-effective and timely product distribution, maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and monitor transportation schedules for efficiency.
Order Fulfillment & Customer Service: Monitor order processing accuracy and timely delivery, work with sales and customer service teams to resolve order-related issues, and support customer satisfaction efforts.
Process Improvement & Cost Optimization: Support and implement operational improvements to enhance lead times, workflow efficiency, and cost optimization, based on direction from management.
Compliance & Risk Management: Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting efforts to mitigate supply chain risks, including safety and operational disruptions.
Reporting & Analytics: Gather and analyze supply chain data, prepare performance summaries, and provide input to assist the manager with budgeting and cost-saving initiatives.
Job requirements
3-5 years in supply chain management, logistics, or distribution, with focus on general trade or consumer goods.
Experience in FMCG distribution is a plus.
Proven experience in end-to-end supply chain processes (procurement, inventory, logistics, order fulfillment).
Familiar with technology or software tools in supply chain management (ERP, WMS, TMS), with proficiency in Excel.
Strong data analysis skills and the ability to make decisions based on the information gathered.
Proficient in project management planning with a clear vision for effective execution.
Skilled in negotiating with vendors/suppliers and logistics partners.
Deep understanding of the balance between supply and demand.
Possesses an extensive network of vendors/suppliers and logistics partners.
