Compensation & Benefit Assistant Manager
General Description
Compensation & Benefit Associate Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll run smoothly and benefits operations across all employee types, ensuring compliance with Indonesian labor and tax regulations. This role ensures accurate processing of compensation components and statutory contributions, while also administering BPJS and insurance programs. Acting as a main contact with insurance providers, supports audits processes (internal/external), maintains data confidentiality, and drives process improvements. Additionally, the role supports HRIS management and analytics by maintaining accurate employee records and delivering reports and insights to inform strategic HR planning.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll operations
- Process, reconcile, and ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll data for all employee types (full-time, interns, consultants).
- Prepare and verify payroll components including allowances, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and other employee benefits.
- Ensure smooth end-to-end payroll operations, including salary disbursement and statutory compliance.
- Manage the payment and reporting processes for BPJS Kesehatan, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and monthly income tax (PPh 21).
- Administer registration, termination, and changes in BPJS Kesehatan and Ketenagakerjaan.
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual payroll tax reports in compliance with Indonesian regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Maintain payroll and employee compensation data with a high level of confidentiality and data integrity.
- Continuously improve payroll processes and ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
Benefit Operations
- Monitor benefit utilization and employee satisfaction, and contribute to benefit program evaluations and enhancements.
- Benchmark benefit offerings and support the development of competitive and compliant benefit strategies.
HRIS Management & data analytics:
- Support continuous improvement and optimization of HRIS for efficient data processing and reporting.
- Regularly audit and validate employee records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Compile and analyze HR-related reports, including monthly and annual people cost, benefit utilization, employee demographics, and other HR metrics.
- Provide insights from HR data analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and deliver communication plan to all stakeholders effectively
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding payroll, benefits, and compensation-related matters
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Psychology, Human Resource Management, or any related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Payroll, compensation, and benefits. Having exposure to data analytics is preferred
- Strong understanding of Indonesian labor regulations and tax compliance
- Experienced in managing payroll and HRIS systems
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Spreadsheet
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of employees’ information
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team, and capable of handling a tight timeline
