Supply & Product Development Manager
Job Summary:
Lead the execution and coordination of supply and product development activities to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and product quality across the brand portfolio. This role focuses on improving the operational efficiency of the development-to-delivery process by aligning suppliers, internal teams, and product roadmaps.
Job Description:
- Manage the end-to-end development of new products (formulation, packaging, prototyping, testing) in collaboration with Brand, R&D, and QA teams. Ensure timely milestone achievement from brief to handover.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers and manufacturers to ensure alignment with quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to align with sales forecasts, campaign calendars, and stock levels. Optimize costs through sourcing strategy and batch management.
- Serve as the operational bridge between brand, commercial, QA, regulatory, and finance to ensure alignment in specifications, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure that product specs, supplier documentation, and development procedures meet regulatory and internal QA standards.
- Proactively identify potential supply chain bottlenecks or material risks and implement mitigation or contingency plans.
- Design, improve, and document SOPs for product development, sourcing, and supplier onboarding to increase execution speed and reduce errors.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in supply chain management or product development roles.
- Hands-on leadership of cross-functional projects or small teams.
- Proficient in supply chain management, ERP systems, product lifecycle management, procurement, vendor negotiation, and quality control processes.
- Preferably certified in APICS CPIM, Six Sigma, or other equivalent supply chain or operations-related certifications.
- Strong project management capabilities with a structured and goal-oriented approach.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in stakeholder coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
- Quick to adapt in ambiguous or fast-changing environments; fast learner with strong initiative.
- Clear, structured, and proactive communicator in both individual and team settings.
- Demonstrates a high level of ownership and accountability in all tasks.
