General Description
Strategic Planning & Analysis Manager plays a critical role in driving the company’s long-term growth and business direction through strategic planning, financial modelling, and business performance analysis. This role is responsible for translating market opportunities, operational realities, and financial insights into actionable strategic initiatives that support sustainable growth and organizational scalability.
The position will lead strategic analysis activities including corporate planning, scenario modelling, investment feasibility assessment, and business case development to support executive decision-making. Working closely with leadership, Finance, and cross-functional business units, this role ensures strategic initiatives are supported by robust financial modelling, risk analysis, and measurable performance outcomes. The role requires strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to connect business strategy with financial impact, operational execution, and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the corporate strategic planning process, including annual planning, business target alignment, and strategic roadmap development.
- Develop robust financial models, business cases, and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business expansion plans.
- Conduct strategic analysis on business performance, profitability, operational efficiency, and revenue growth opportunities.
- Translate market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive intelligence into actionable strategic recommendations.
- Partner closely with Finance and business leaders to evaluate financial feasibility, ROI, and business impact of strategic initiatives.
- Build forecasting models and sensitivity analysis to support management decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Monitor company performance against strategic targets and provide insights on business risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
- Lead cross-functional strategic projects and transformation initiatives to improve organizational efficiency and scalability.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and executive presentations to communicate strategic insights and performance updates.
- Identify and evaluate strategic partnership, alliance, or expansion opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Establish governance, tracking mechanisms, and performance measurement for key strategic initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in strategic planning methodologies, business analysis frameworks, and reporting processes.
- Facilitate alignment between corporate strategy and execution across departments and business units.
- Act as strategic advisor to leadership by providing data-driven recommendations and structured business analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus).
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), investment analysis, management consulting, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, business valuation, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
- Proven experience in developing business cases and conducting financial feasibility studies for strategic initiatives or investment decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
- Experience managing cross-functional strategic projects and stakeholder alignment across business units.
- Strong understanding of business performance management, market analysis, and strategic execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and presentation tools; experience with BI/dashboard tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with ability to translate analysis into business recommendations.
- Strong commercial mindset, strategic thinking, and ability to work in fast-paced and evolving business environments.
